4HAIE - PROGRAM 4

  • A research study of Program 4, which examines the impact of physical activity in polluted air on health, well-being and quality of life. The research set (cohort) of Program 4 consists of two groups of probands (individuals to be examined), physically active – referred to as “runners” and physically less active – referred to as “non-runners”. Both of these research groups will undergo the same examinations in the Center for Diagnostics of Human Movement of the University of Ostrava as part of the study.
  • The main purpose of the study is to monitor whether physical activity in polluted air and some other characteristics (psychosocial, biomechanical, physiological and somatometric) can affect health, mental well-being and quality of life. The study will involve adult men and women of all ages from the Moravian-Silesian and South Bohemian regions.
